WEEK 6 : THE VIRTUES FOUND IN صدقة & زكاة

   بِسْـــــــــمِ اَللّهِ الرّحْمن الرّحيم

🌿 Virtues of زكاة صدقة

1. رحمة (Friendliness & Compassion)

Zakah and sadaqah nurture compassion and empathy in the hearts of the giver and the receiver.

“The merciful are shown mercy by The Most Merciful. Be merciful to those on the earth...”
(—Tirmidhi)

Giving for the sake of Allah reflects kindness and concern for others’ well-being, creating a more loving and supportive society.

2. توكّل (Reliance on Allah)

Both the giver and receiver learn to trust in Allah’s provision. The giver lets go of worldly attachment, and the receiver believes that sustenance comes ultimately from Allah.

“And whoever puts his trust in Allah, He will be sufficient for him.”
(Surah At-Talaq, 65:3)

It strengthens faith that wealth is a test and a means, not an end.

3. الأخوة (Brotherhood & Unity)

Zakah and sadaqah bridge the gap between the rich and poor, promoting solidarity and reducing jealousy or resentment.

“The believers are but brothers...”
(Surah Al-Hujurat, 49:10)

It reminds the ummah that we are one body—if one part suffers, the rest respond with support and care.
