WEEK 1 : REFLECTION VIDEO
بِسْـــــــــمِ اَللّهِ الرّحْمن الرّحيم
Shaykh Sulaiman stated that knowledge requires Fiqh (understanding), and Fiqh requires Adab (proper manners). Knowledge without Fiqh leads to corruption, while knowledge and Fiqh without Adab lead to evil. This is why Shaykh Sulaiman emphasized the importance of both Fiqh and Adab in acquiring knowledge.
A person can learn extensively, but without Fiqh, they may stray far from Islamic principles, and without Adab, they risk appearing arrogant. This applies not only to students but also to scholars and teachers. Teachers must fear Allah in their teaching, as the Qur'an emphasizes instructing with good manners. Unfortunately, some teachers today exhibit poor manners, which is highly inappropriate.
Shaykh Sulaiman highlights that knowledge must be accompanied by Fiqh and Adab. Without Fiqh, one may stray from Islam, and without Adab, one risks arrogance. Both students and teachers should embody good manners, as the Qur'an stresses this in education.
